Abstract

The paper presents the study of the incidence, mortality and survival rate of the patients with colorectal cancer among the population of Vinnitsa region. It is shown that during the last 5 years the incidence of rectal cancer decreased from 20,7 to 19,6 cases per 100 thous. residents and the number of cases of colon cancer, on the contrary, increased from 18,4 to 20,2. Deterioration of the early diagnostics and morphologic verification of colorectal cancer was revealed that led to reduction of coverage of the patients with radical treatment. The authors showed the reasons for drawbacks and planned ways for improvement of the epidemiological situation in Vinnitsa region.
