Role of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in the differential diagnosis of biliary tract diseases

Abstract

The article shows the first experience of endobiliary operations in patients with obstructive jaundice of various origins. Accurate preoperative diagnosis of the causes of obstructive jaundice helps to optimize surgical treatment, reduces the incidence of complications in the postoperative period. In clinical example shows high efficiency endobiliary interventions, that not required narcosis, don't cause significant operative trauma, in a diagnostic and treatment process. This avoids the execution of open surgery and improves immediate and long-term outcomes of patients with obstructive jaundice. The attention is focused on the clinical features of the case diagnosis parapapillary diverticulum of the duodenum.
