Computer tomographic pancreas perfusion in differential diagnosis and treatment of acute edematous and necrotic pancreatitis
Abstract
Late diagnosis of pancreatic necrosis and delayed execution of surgical interventions contribute to higher postoperative mortality in 20-72 % of patients with no downward trend. Computer-tomographic perfusion - a method of radiation research that shows how many milliliters of arterial blood passes through 100 grams of tissue per minute. Perfusion advantage is that we can see early changes in pancreatic tissue and identify areas in which impaired blood flow, the method makes it possible to clearly differentiate from acute edematous pancreatitis from pancreatic necrosis.
