Role of argon plasma coagulation in treatment of parasitic hepatic cysts
Abstract
The results of treatment of 216 patients with parasitic liver cysts are presented in this article. The main group consisted of 116 patients who with "open" and laparoscopic interventions using argon plasma coagulation. In the comparison group were included 100 patients with "open" surgery. It has been demonstrated better results when using argon plasma coagulation. The use of this technique reduces contamination of the abdominal cavity with the cyst contents and reduces the frequency of relapses.
