Competence approach and formation of key competencies in preparation of students of higher educational medical institutions

Abstract

Based on the data of scientific publications, the article analyzes the concepts of «competence», «professional competence», «pedagogical competence», the essence of the concept of «competence approach», «competence» is defined. The key and basic competences, which graduates of higher medical educational institution should master are considered. The urgency and necessity of introduction of the competence approach in work of the higher medical educational institutions is indicated.
