Research in recent years has expanded the range of functional respiratory disorders, to which, in addition to hyperventilation syndrome, there are a number of disorders that are collectively referred to as “dysfunctional breathing”. Therefore, the aim of the study was to analyze the clinical forms of dysfunctional respiratory disorders, their comorbidity with organic respiratory diseases in children, and to consider possible mechanisms of their occurrence, using the world literature data for the last 10 years in databases MedLine, Cochrane Library, PubMed EMBASE, Science Index, in which actuality in the practice of a doctor, modern views on pathogenesis, clinic, diagnostics of dysfunctional respiratory disorders, their influence on quality of life and the course of concomitant comorbid pathologies, especially bronchial asthma, were covered. This, in turn, has highlighted a number of controversial issues and aspects that further scientific research should focus on. ER -
