It has been established that application of propylene glycol extracts (PGE) of nettle, raspberry, walnut, mountain ash and Royal jelly in the course of 14 days in rats with MetS reduces the manifestations of oxidative stress in varying degree in serum of experimental animals. The largest inhibition of the activity of free radical oxidation and increase in the activity of antioxidant defense system in animals with MetS was noted after administration of PGE of Royal jelly.
