The purpose of the work was determining the peculiarities of the “clinical route” for polytrauma in obese patients. The “clinical route” was based at clinical observation of 64 patients with combined blunt body injury depending on the body mass index (BMI). We proposed the “clinical route” of the patient in the hospital with the clearly indicated route depending on BMI. In particular, we want to attract special attention to the patients of the II–III degree of obesity, who even with stable indicators of hemodynamics should be immediately directed to the operating room from the moment of admission, where it is possible to perform invasive diagnostic manipulations to verify the diagnosis, since the clinical presentation does not always reflect the severity of the damage, and the available arsenal of visible techniques in this group of patients has a rather low diagnostic value. The proposed “clinical route” of patients with polytrauma depending on BMI allows us for the most urgent time to clearly diagnose the damage and determine the tactics of surgical treatment.</p>}, number={2}, journal={Reports of Vinnytsia National Medical University}, author={Khimich, S.D. and Chemerys, O.M.}, year={2017}, month={Sep.}, pages={459-462} }
