Evaluation of endoscopic hemostasis efficiency in patients with hemorrhagic shock because of ulcer gastro-duodenal bleeding

Abstract

Aim of the study – evaluation of endoscopic hemostasis efficiency in patients with high risk of gastro-duodenal rebleeding. The analysis of medical histories 139 patients admitted to the center for gastrointestinal bleeding with hemorrhagic shock was conducted. All patients had a high risk of rebleeding, which was estimated using Rockall scale. All patients were divided into groups: the first group consisted of 40 patients, underwent endoscopic hemostasis; the second group included 99 patients who received conservative treatment; the third group consisted of 30 patients operated on for ulcerative profuse bleeding or rebleeding. The compare criterion was the frequency of rebleeding, treatment outcome, and its duration.
