Ways to correct biliary obstruction in age-specific aspect

Abstract

The article presents the results of surgical treatment of 120 patients with obstruction of the bile ducts. Obstructive jaundice (OJ) of nonmalignant genesis was present in 88 (73,3%) patients, malignant - in 32 (26,7%). Minimally invasive surgeries for biliary obstruction were performed in 77 (64,2%) cases. Open surgeries on the bile ducts were performed in 43 (35,8%) patients. Complications after minimally invasive surgeries were found in 5 (6,5%) cases, after open surgeries - in 7 (16,3%). 1 (2,3%) patient died. The results of the study demonstrated minimally invasive surgeries for biliary obstruction in patients of elderly and senile age is priority.
