Todate, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a significant medical, social and economic burden in the world. One of the major problems of modern pulmonology is the diagnosis of COPD at an early stage, which is possible when assessing risk factors for COPD. The aim of this work was to establish the prevalence of risk factors according to the survey in a closed team of workers of industrial enterprises, to assess the frequency of different risk factors in different age groups. The survey was conducted by questionnaire using the original questionnaire, which included a subjective assessment of the General condition (breathlessness, cough, sputum, wheeze), anamnestic data, allergic history and risk factors (including Smoking, frequency of respiratory diseases, family and allergic history). It was found that 216 (41,0%) revealed symptoms characteristic of COPD, including men was 101 (46,8%), 115 women (53,2%). Among men symptoms of COPD were found more often in the age of 40 to 50 years, namely in 30 patients (29,7%); women - age of 50 to 59 years, and with 31 (26,9%). We found that among surveyed with a high likelihood of developing COPD was 88 people that smoke (40,7%) among them 17 women (19,3%) and 71 men (80,7%).
