Abstract

In order to study an internal picture of illness 85 patients with occupational respiratory pathology and 84 patients with pathology of the peripheral nervous system were examined using methods of psychological diagnosing of an attitude to the disease. Among patients with occupational respiratory pathology there was detected a prevalence of harmonious, anxiety and sensitive types of attitude to the disease in combination with hypochondriacal and neurotic types, and among patients with professional pathology of the peripheral nervous system - a predominance of neurasthenic and hypochondriacal types combined with melancholycal and self- centered types. Patients with occupational respiratory pathology more often had a "pure" type of attitude to the disease, and patients with pathology of the peripheral nervous system - mixed and diffuse options of combination of types of relation to the disease. Identified patterns should be taken into consideration when developing the psycho-correction for patients with occupational pathology.
