Pharmacological studies of a new derivative of 2-oxoindoline

Abstract

The anti-exudative and antimicrobial activity of a new potential anti-inflammatory agent the methyl ester of N-[(2- oxoindolinylidene-3)-2-oxyacetyl]-aminoacetic acid have been researched. It was established experimentally that the new test compound reduces carrageenan foot edema inflammation in rats by 76,7%. The research results of the antimicrobial activity demonstrate sensitivity or a high sensitivity of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis, Proteus vulgaris, Candida ablicans strains to the new test compound.
