In last decade national health care of Ukraine experienced dramatic changes. The quality of hospital services still low and inadequate. This is supported by rate of recurrent hospitalization (30% at first year). Therefore, we have chosen the period between subsequent hospitalizations (PBSH) as efficacy indicator. The goal of investigation consisted in substantiation of policies to reduce the risk of recurrent hospitalization. The data organized in a panel frame of 2680 patients hospitalized in Vinnitsa town therapeutic departments in 2008-2012. We put through descriptive characteristic of intervals between subsequent hospitalizations by the contingents including distributions of PBSH by biological and social factors, as well as by factors of medical input. It has been demonstrated the increase in PBSH duration induced by increase of hospital staying. We consider it is related to the better performance, one of the aspect is the opportunity to administer rehabilitation procedures more efficiently given increased staying. We also proved that shortening in hospital staying due to the increase in load of patients per physician hazard the outcomes, increasing the risk of grievous repercussions with elevated risk of recurrent hospitalizations.
