Abstract

Environmental hyperinsolation and high concentration of chemical agents result in increasing incidence of malignant skin disease, including melanoma. The skin of every healthy person normally has dozens of benign pigmented nevi. Some pigment nevi has high risk to malignant transformation. The significant onkodermatologic problem is differential diagnosis of pigment nevi and malignant melanoma. Main feature of malignant melanoma is high malignancy, because invasive diagnostic methods conduct to tumor dissemination. Developed noninvasive spectrophotometric diagnostic device that allows on the basis of measurements of the spectrum of diffuse reflection of light waves carry out differential diagnosis of benign and malignant pigmented skin lesions.
