Hypodiagnostics of bronchial asthma in children

Abstract

Asthma may debut at any age, but most often the first symptoms appear up to 6 years, the peak of asthma occur in the five-year age. Risk factors for persistence of asthma symptoms in children include: a child atopy, female sex, onset of symptoms before the age of 2 years, severe bronchial hyperreactivity, and severe course of the disease. Late diagnosed asthma in children leads to severe disease, incorrect treatment strategy significantly increases the health, social and economic costs, the level of disability and mortality from this disease.
