Abstract

In this paper is presented the synthesis of recent data about pathobiochemical features neurons damaged retina and optic nerve in terms of their ischemic-hypoxic damage of various genesis and modern possibilities of pharmacological action on key target receptor on the example Ademol - neuroprotective agent with a modulating effect on the functioning of NMDA-receptors' activity and selective blockade of β-adrenergic receptors. In terms of the model 60 minutes total ischemia-reperfusion of eye installed capacity of Ademol (2 mg/kg) reduced the level of activity of membrane integrity marker damage neurons of the retina - the neuron-specific enolase, indicating the presence of a study drug neuroretinoprotective properties.
