Abstract

The aim of our study was to determine the complex palmar dermatoglyphics characteristics that allow to differentiate the ethno-territorial identity the population of Ivano-Frankivsk region. Research materials were used the dermatoglific parameters of male`s and female`s palms aged 19-55 years belonging to the Hutsul and Boiko ethnic groups. Using the method of discriminant analysis demonstrated that the defining feature of a person belonging to these groups is the angle Ab on the right palm (Abr). The statistical reliability of the results is tested through simulation of the neural network with appropriate input data. Test probability of correct classification of the created model achieves 89%.
