Lectinochemical characteristics of the system of ducts in submandibular glands of the human and of some laboratory animals in the comparative aspect

Abstract

A comparative analysis of the composition of terminal unreduced monosaccharide residues of glycoconjugates on the structural components in the duct system of the submandibular salivary glands of humans and laboratory animals was carried out using a panel of plant-derived lectins that are adapted for studying and description of cells and tissues of a human and an animal. It is proved that the intensity of the distribution of carbohydrate residues on the histological structures in the duct system of submandibular salivary glands depends on the phylogenetic factors of both individual kinds and the systematic group of organisms in whole.
